Dr YangYang Shen

Research Associate

Biography

YangYang is a Research Associate at OPHI. She joined OPHI in 2014 and worked as a Research Officer until 2016. Now, she mainly works on research projects relating to multidimensional poverty in China.

Yangyang is a Lecturer in the School of Economics and Resource Management at Beijing Normal University, and a researcher in the China Institute for Income Distribution (CIID) and the China Institute for Poverty Reduction (CIPR) in Beijing Normal University.

After her PhD in Economics, she continued working on poverty analysis in China, including income/consumption poverty, multidimensional poverty, relative poverty. She is currently focusing on the project 'Research on Establishment of Relative Poverty Standards in Rural and Urban China' (No. 20CSH062), funded by the National Social Science Foundation of China.
