In November 2023, the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia published their annual Social Snapshot and Poverty in Armenia report including results from the Armenian national measure for multidimensional poverty. 

Previous results

Since launching the Armenian national measure for multidimensional poverty, the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia has published their Social Snapshot and Poverty in Armenia report annually which includes results from the Armenian national measure for multidimensional poverty. 

In 2019, changes were introduced in the ILCS questionnaire, which means that MPI results since 2019 should not be compared with MPI results from 2016-2018.

Armenia MPI structure: dimensions and indicators

All members of a household are considered multidimensionally poor if they are deprived in more than one quarter of the 25 weighted indicators.

Global MPI

The annual global MPI produced by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative in partnership with the Human Development Report Office of the United Nations Development Programme is an internationally comparable index of acute multidimensional poverty. OPHI publishes Country Briefings summarising poverty statistics of the global MPI for each country.
