Multidimensional Poverty Index Interviews

One month before the MPI was first launched in 2010, OPHI held a research workshop with leading academics working on poverty measurement issues. OPHI’s Sabina Alkire and Maria Emma Santos presented the draft MPI results, which were thoroughly scrutinized and discussed by the group. OPHI received many useful comments which aided in the final release of the measure. The interviews below capture some of the participants’ comments on 15 June 2010.
